I Suppose I Should Be Flattered

Ya know....here's something I ain't too hot about.....

Don't take one of my posts, basically spit out the same info, take a few pictures basically the same as mine and then put a post up on your blog like it was your idea......

Now, I don't mind sharing, heck that's the reason we started this blog.....figuring we couldn't be the only city kids trying to figure out how to plant stuff and make it grow, get an animal, feed it, get it to grow and then feed ourselves....there must be others out there like us, who just want to learn....

We like giving the info.....but when I purused one of the blogs I bop in on every once in awhile and see basically my stuff under the guise that you thought it up yourself...well....pfffft!

Would it have killed ya to say ya read it over here and it gave you some good ideas, then expanded on it? Yeah, apparently......

I guess I should be glad you bothered to take your own pictures without ripping off some of ours......

And I can read my Analytics well enuf to know u spend time reading over here what I write.....yeah, you....you know I am talking about you.....

For the others, please, if you like something we write about, for decency's sake....at least give your readers the link where you read it first....thanks! That's what makes the blogging world go round..... Sphere: Related Content

Whoa! Who would DO this?
Yep, you should be flattered, and miffed.
I would be too!

Any time I quote or want to share anything anyone writes or posts about, I ALWAYS give a link so they know where the idea came from. I make sure or at least try to make sure it is clear it isn't my stuff...

I can't blame you for being upset!

my mom always taught me that imatation is the best compliment......but who would do that with a blog! They should have given props to you!

Maybe their just bored? Or lazy. They can't be bothered to write about their own little life? Dunno. Weird people out there.

Oh dear...it's true, I suppose, that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but you know what? You have more important things to concentrate on right now, so don't sweat the small stuff. You said it right the first time when you said, "you know who you are"...and although I would never admit it, I'm mildly curious as to who and what site it was...oh, NEVER MIND!! Hope you're feeling much much better...Patty

Wow, Sometimes I don't know what to blog about but to take someone elses writting and pass it off as mine? That's pretty lazy!

I'm like Patty S. I'm nosy and want to know too. But I can see why you wouldnt pass that out.

i wrote a poem that has been stolen and changed (slightly) to make it a "personal" fit the thief, and it DID pee me off alot. If they want a personal poem write one! UGH low low morals on some of these folks.

I do notice she is not reading the blog as often now...which is probably a good thing....

and it's too bad, my opinion of her has gone downhill...and she didn't need to do it, she is very talented!

I remember reading on Homesteading Today, there is a poster on there..smart lady, raises lots of chickens...anyway, she started a blog.

Not long after, a new poster signed up over at HT, and almost took the exact same screen name! Then she started a blog and started copying this lady's posts!

I woulda been right choked if I had been her, well she was choked...but she wrote about it over at HT and that was good. It showed people that :
1) it wasn't actually her
2) people caught on quickly to the fact that someone was basically copying everything she was doing!
