Dreaming of Summer

Now that the busiest part of the holidays are over, I am slowly turning my attention to the gardens. Over the next few days, I am going to repost some of the summer garden posts. New blog readers may not have seen them....and frankly, I always have a bit of "post holiday let down" after Christmas. It will serve as an inspiration to me I hope, to see pictures of summertime sunshine and lush green garden veggies and fruits!

This coming year, we are going to keep working at our flower beds and porch. As part of that, I am already looking at all kinds of garden planters. Click to see some beautiful high end planters - there are many many different kinds to choose from!

There is a large variety of planters made from plastic, fiberglass, vinyl, wood, ceramic, copper and aluminum - you will easily find that special planter you have been looking for! There is even a Live Help Desk to lend a hand should you need one! Sphere: Related Content

Just wanted to let you know that I'm still out here, reading your posts every time, and enjoying the photos of the products of all your hard work, and the photos of all your fun, and especially the photos of you and your kids at Christmas. Happy New Year!

Hi Jill, why not try growing some root veggies this year? They are pretty easy to grow and will hopefully give you some experience.

Beets, turnips, potatoes - all are really easy. Plant, water and stand back....

KAthryn, Happy New Year! I tried to comment on your blog the other day, but it wouldn't take it. Your daughter is absolutely gifted as an artist! I hope she goes far with it, she has the talent.

hmmm...really? I love all those....I love veggies before fruit. that wierd? ....can they be grown in pots? I have limited yard space..and many large LARGE LARGE ceramic pots since my hubby worked at a pottery warehouse for a while...we have many pots.

Sure you can Jill, especially if the pots are quite deep. YOu could do carrots, beets, etc easily in big deep pots....just plant them closer together and thin them out once they get large enough.

Keep reading the blog, if you are interested in gardening you'll probably like what is coming next week!
