Credit Cards from Hell

How many of us have credit cards? Do you use them a couple times a month and then pay them off entirely? Or do you use them almost every day and then pay off the minimum balance each month?

We try hard to not use credit cards at all, but we do. We have one MasterCard card that we use, since we get money back in the form of products - everything goes on that one card, then it gets paid off at the end of the month (most months, there are times we do have to carry a balance.) We also have Visa cards, but don't use them. Having access to credit, but not using credit is totally different from wracking up credit card bills.

Check out this article from CNN.com. Here's a list of the 9 Credit Cards from Hell, among the worst in all of America.

Work to pay off your debt, folks. A mortgage is one thing, but thousands and thousands of dollars in credit card debt will hang around your neck for years to come. Free yourself by paying down your debt!

I'm with you on no debt! My one credit card gets paid off at the end of every month! My Dad drilled no debt into us. Very freeing not to have debt.

We have them, but don't use them. A few years ago when they offered a decent reward, we used them for everything and paid them off monthly. Then a little over two years ago we jumped on the Dave Ramsey wagon and have not looked back. In the course of 18 months, we paid off two car loans and filled up our savings. It's taken some lifestyle changes, but it's been worth it. Everything is budgeted for. From $5 per week for haircuts to our fuel expenses, it's all accounted for. In fact, our new annual budget starts today.

We have ONE that we NEVER use... we use our debit cards all the time for most things needing a credit card.

That's fantastic to read that you are not using credit cards the way They want you to!

Andy, I have heard many good things about Dave Ramsey, a lot of people benefit from his writings.

Laughwithus...I thought the same thing when I read that. Hooters Mastercard? I would be embarrased to either use that card or be with someone who pulls it out to pay with!
