Preserving Basil

One of the wonderful things about growing herbs to use in cooking is that they are so easy to preserve.

It hardly takes any time to get a good stash of herbs in your cupboard to use year round.

This morning I wrote about how I preserve Basil so that it will taste just as fresh 8 months from now as it does today. Come over to our new site and read about preserving Basil. It's easy!

Dropping some leaves into fresh tomato sauce in the ice cream trays is also a nice option ... 3 cubes of basil/tomato sauce works for a single portion of my creamy tomato pasta. Oh yum.
