Bruschetta and Growing Corn

I'm going to give this recipe a try...it sounds delicious! Thank you Michelle for giving me your blog link! I'll be reading more!

I was reading on Linda's forum a couple of weeks ago - there was an interesting post about growing corn up North.....

Now, everything I have heard from the locals, since moving here 2 years ago, is that it is pretty much impossible to grown corn here. Hot days, then a pretty drastic drop in temperature overnights = hard to grow.

One friend up here is giving it a try, and her stalks don't look bad at all- no ears yet, but it is only the beginning of August. I am kinda wishing I had just thrown a small block of corn in. Next year I am going to think about doing what this article suggests....here's the link to the article at The Journey

I hope you like the recipe. Remember to tweak the amounts to your taste. I've been eating a lot of bruschetta in the last several days. I'm using everything from a Ritz cracker to hot dog bun to french bread for the base. :) For myself I skip rubbing the garlic on the bread. Once I put a little olive oil on the bread I just spoon on the topping and cheese.

I added a few more recipes in the last couple of days - peach crisp and brownies.

I haven't had a chance yet to try the bruschetta, but I'm going to! It sounds absolutely delicious. And when I get a chance again, I'll go check out your blog, thanks Michelle!
