We thought we could try digging up one potato plant, just to see how the spuds are looking....we had them for dinner along with garden carrots....
The one plant gave almost 3 pounds of spuds...guess that's not too bad for digging it up early?
Earlier this morning, I picked the raspberries again, and also some Saskatoon berries...Saskatoon berry Pie is awesome....I will just freeze the berries for now, and do something with them later, when I have more time.....I freeze them spread out in a single layer on a cookie sheet. Once frozen, I dump them into a Ziplock. That way, the berries won't get all stuck together, and I can take out just as many as I need.

Hubbie planted some Saskatoons this year, I'm glad to hear you like them. I like saying the name using my old prospector voice.

Your old prospector voice? That probably sounds better than when the Gman pulls out "Mr Radio Announcer"...he knows how it bugs me, lol!
I find the berries taste much better after they have been cooked...if I can get out and keep picking the wild ones, I want to see if I can get enuf to make a batch of Saskatoon Wine....sounds good to me!
