What Have I Been Doing?

What have I been up to? Oh, not much.....scrape, scrape, scrape....

We let the shop foundation forms sit up overnight....then we started tearing them down...uggg, what a job!

Every single form had to be scraped smooth of any concrete....I know exactly how many forms I did...cuz that's what I thought of while doing that blasted job!

10 forms on each of the two sides of the shop, 14 forms on each of the other two sides....then multiply that by 2, cuz you need an inner AND outer wall of forms....

10 x 2 = 20 x 2 = 40
14 x 2 = 28 x 2 = 56

Total of 96 frickin' forms....every single one had to be worked on....at times my Supervisor came over to make sure I was still working (pic at left)....darn Wolf is a slavedriver, I tell ya!!

First, I had to pull out all the nails in the forms, then take a chisel and knock out the concrete stuck in that blasted strip tie hole (6 holes per form)....then start scraping, front and back....pile them all up, throw them in the truck.

While I was doing that, the Gman was ripping more and more forms off the concrete. Once he finally got that done, he was able to help with the scraping....scrape, scrape, scrape.

Uh, no brainer, after we were done and had dropped the forms back off at the concrete place, we went for beer....and dinner...and more beer!

More pics of the shop will get put up...after I finish my other stuff....

I read somewhere to oil the forms so the don't stick.

You are so busy Annie!

I know you will be posting about your temp last night. We musta got close to the same low temp because it was 32.7 at 7:45 am but it musta got at least 28 last night because it always worms up a few degrees after 5 or 6 am.

28F = about -2C

Hello you two,

Wow, that was a lot of work you two did. Nice to have that finished. Your garden looks cold!-- We have heavy rain on the coast, but it is mild out.
Soon our dahlias will have to be dug up, but they are still blooming at present. The geraniums as well, so we will wait a little longer yet.

Take care. AJM
