A quick update - I am now in Kelowna. We arrived Sunday and I had my first radiation treatment yesterday.
I'd rather be on a beach in Mexico...or at home in my Valley. But...c'est la vie...this is life.
I'll be here for 5 weeks. I'll be back to blogging about gardens in a day or two...I just need a bit of time to settle in.

Keep your chin up and God Bless. We will be waiting to hear from you.
Hi Annie,
I'm meeting with my radiologist tomorrow to find out what all I have to do. My oncologist said 5-6 weeks of radiation, but I'm not sure yet what day I'll be starting on. I'll be thinking of you while I'm being deep fried. Ha.

Hang in there Annie, or hang out there - whatever makes you comfortable!
Kathryn : )
Sending healing thoughts your way. This part will be over soon, in plenty of time for spring, so you can concentrate on your garden instead! :)
Thanks everyone!! This too shall pass....
Cindee, thanks for your update. Please continue to keep me (us) posted as to how you are doing.
If it is any comfort to you, I have done 2 treatments and am not "glowing in the dark" (yet).
Hot flashing like mad, still, tho...will have to get me a little fan to help out.
Best of luck to you Annie. I hope you have better luck with radiation than I'm having with chemo. Hopefully this new drug will work better than the last one.
I wonder if you're aware of the Freemason's Cancer Car service? You can call the Freemasons there in Kelowna, tell them where you are staying and when your appointment is. They will arrange a ride to and from your treatment.
Hope this can help you.

Hi Dave, yes I have already arranged it with the Mason's....thanks!
It's quite amazing all the resources that are in place to help assist cancer patients. Thank goodness!
I asked the ladies yesterday about the numbers of patients needing radiation.
She let me know there are 5 machines in Kelowna, and there are at Least 20 people using Each machine Every day.
She said she would Love to Lose her job due to a lack of work!
