Sew here's what it looks like so far. All I have got done is the borders! I mentioned I am Not a good sewer.....and boy ain't that the truth! I also can't follow a pattern if my life depended on it (I have such problems trying to figure out the diagrams)....there is likely little hope for me!
(I have just the cover hanging up, I didn't pin the batting and backing fabric to it)
Thoughts? I'm all for ideas as long as they are simple!!
And it seems to me that it's cruel justice that I live 40 minutes away from the stores and I have realized I don't have a Seam Ripper! It's on the list for the next time I am in town.

You know more about sewing then I do. You have a pattern, you know what bias tape is ( I dont ) and you're going to get more sewing stuff. In my book, you're a pro!
It is looking good! I think theat diamonds in the center would relly bring the whole thing together and they are pretty simple. As a trick, you should sew all your diamond edges under before you try to sew them onto the quilt, this will save you from having to turn under the fabric and sew on the diamonds at the same time, then you can just follow the thread line when you actually put them down on the quilt. (I love tricks!) Have fun!
Ha Krissy! I am hoping to get the bias tape today,if they have the colour I need!
Liz, thanks for the suggestion! That's just what I did and I think your idea may it Much easier....
