While we were in the Okanogan, we went to the O'Keefe Ranch, just outside of Vernon.....here's a bunch of pics. It is a pretty neat place...
Gorgeous Meissen dinnerware in that house
Countergirl at the General Store. We bought candy there!
Da copper is sitting behind the billboards, lol....I got a kick out of that...
Industry in the little train town....
We saw some animals that were displaced due to fires at their homes....
this little one made me think of Linda....it looks like her baby goats.
The house the cowboys lived in....
Cowboy beds.....
I took a lot of pics of how they strung the bed laces together. We'd love to do this if we ever built a guest cabin here!

Really cool Annie! It was all very nice, but I liked the beds the most! Reminds me of very 'easy' rope beds. Of course rope beds were usually pulled tight.
Oh and that little guys does remind me of my baby goats!
We've been through the O'Keefe Ranch too ... had a hoot of a guide. Loved his talk.
I love historical stuff! Thanks, for the great pics! Thanks, too, for the blog and information!
I live in South Eastern Minnesota and I am totally jealous of a) your homesteading life and b) your being Canadian.
I used to do a lot of work in Vancouver and Chetwynd, BC and Ontario. Good people and GREAT country!
I would rather use a hammock than the cowboy lacing, I think.

We had such a great time....Cicero, our guide was a hoot too! I wonder if it was the same one you had....
