Using his excavator, he dug a trench. Then we went around the property using the Little JD with the trailer, picking up all the rocks we could find. And there were a LOT!
Once we cleaned up the rocks, he used the tractor to bring down loads of drainrock we had sitting in a pile by the driveway.Now we have to get some sand to fill it in. But at least, the perimeter is almost done. Then we have to handdig a trench thru the breezeway.

Wow your soil is so different than ours! Ours has a reddish cast to it, but not as much as some places along the river...
Your drainage ditch is looking really good... there is just so much work to do on a homestead! Satisfying work at that.
